Michael joined MSA after spending the first six years of his career in the legal department of a Philadelphia-area bank, where he negotiated complex commercial contracts and loan transactions, resolved UCC litigation and worked out nonperforming commercial loans, helped the bank navigate the Dodd-Frank Act, and was instrumental in the bank’s successful development and launch of a residential mortgage lending department, digital delivery channels, and a credit card lending program. Michael’s wide-ranging practice at MSA includes matters such as advising clients on RESPA, fair lending, and TILA compliance issues, litigating contested foreclosures, negotiating commercial contracts and real estate transactions, defending high-stakes TCPA litigation, and documenting real estate and commercial loans.
Michael has also instructed upper-level legal writing courses at Drexel University’s Kline School of Law, and delivered a continuing legal education course to the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Delaware Valley Chapter on ethical issues concerning the formation of attorney-client relationships.
